Section 1: Implementing the EYFS


1 ) 1 This kind of booklet gives guidance for experts on conference the requirements in the Early Years Base Stage (EYFS) framework. This aims to present useful tips and comprehensive information on helping children's learning and creation and well being. The guidance looks in more detail on how to implement the learning and development requirements and the welfare requirements in the Statutory Framework pertaining to the Early Years Foundation Stage document. Addititionally there is guidance on kids development, points to look out for, effective practice and useful ideas on preparing and resourcing. The parts in ‘Development matters' and ‘Look, listen and note' also support the continuous assessment that practitioners need to undertake. Naturally , these parts are not intended to be exhaustive – different children will do various things at diverse times – and they really should not be used as checklists. The Practice Guidance for the Early Years Foundation Stage booklet is part of the EYFS package of materials and really should be used together with the: Lawful Framework intended for the Early Years Foundation Stage booklet (the legal requirements and statutory guidance); EYFS helpful providers and practitioners (CD-ROM, poster and Principles in to Practice cards). The Principles in to Practice greeting cards provide straightforward information about powerful practice over the themes in the EYFS. They can be arranged in the four guiding themes which put the requirements into context, and explain how practitioners should support the development, learning and proper care of young children. The cards consist of lots of details, hints and additional questions to fast reflection and supply useful ideas for professionals in their day-to-day work with kids. The EYFS poster explains at a glance the way the EYFS Concepts support successful practice inside the EYFS.
